Rotary Laser Levels

A rotary laser level projects a 360-degree horizontal beam, establishing a horizontal plane that allows you to check elevation accurately.

First, mount the rotary laser to a tripod or a stable surface, then turn it on and allow it to level itself. It will emit a rotating laser and give an elevation reference.  If the rotary laser is disturbed, it will stop emitting the laser to avoid taking inaccurate measurements.

Since the laser is not visible outdoors, you will need a receiver attached to a grade rod to detect the laser for external applications. 

Rotary lasers can be used in indoor and outdoor applications to ensure elevation accuracy. A few tasks suited for rotary lasers include:
